Our Golf Club, which was established in 1906, is located a very short distance from the three links courses - including the Championship Course. The clubhouse is just two minutes walk from the first tee (Starter's Box and Hotel). To find us, cross the road in front of the main hotel (on the course), go under the railway bridge and turn immediately right, alongside the railway line. Membership

We currently have around 400 members, and always welcome visiting golfing parties (or individuals) for drinks or meals, especially during major competitions. Temporary or Full Memberships are available, please ask at the bar. Full membership requires proposal by two senior members of the club, and approval by the club council.

Activities

The club provides for many and varied sporting activities. Obviously, golf is our key activity, with many competitions being played across all three of the links courses (Championship/Medal, Burnside and Buddon), and covering both Men and Ladies Competitions. We also cater for the following indoor sporting activities, most of which have competitions running (seniors/juniors) during the winter months:

Social Events

The club has regular weekly social activities, in the form of Bingo, played every Thursday evening at 8.30, and a dance, featuring local live bands, every Saturday evening (when a small entrance donation is requested from guests). We always provide for special entertainment during major golfing competitions, the next one being the Craw’s Nest Tassie during the week of 1^st September, 2003 in Carnoustie.

Entertainment for this year’s Tassie Week includes a live all-girl band on Wednesday, Mr. G’s Disco/Karaoke on Tuesday and Friday, and our usual live Saturday Band, The Ferguson Brothers.

General Facilities

The club has a fully stocked bar and full catering facilities, providing for bar snacks at most times, as well as full meals during lunchtimes, and all day Saturday/Sunday and during major competitions. We have shower and changing facilities available.
